Surgical Information

Pets undergoing surgery at South Branch Animal Hospital are treated like our own.  We ask that you withhold food after 10 pm the night before surgical procedures, water is fine to be continued.  Drop off for surgery is the day of between 8:30am-9am.  Spay and Neuter pets generally go home the same day, generally after 4:30 pm (we are open until 7pm on surgery days unless special notice has been given).  An estimate can be made available prior to surgery day, however will need to be signed the morning of surgery with answers as to optional items recommendations such as special pre-operative blood screening, microchipping, and optional vaccinations.  We call you when the patient is stable in recovery to confirm a discharge time.  

If you will not be accompanying your pet to the drop off for surgery please let our staff know when we confirm your appointment and we can get the estimate and consent forwarded to you via email, fax, or mail when necessary.
